We use PayPal to process transactions to ensure customer information safety and confidentiality. You can use either a credit card or a personal PayPal account to pay.
Course fees do not include materials costs. These fees will be due on the first day of class and can be paid by personal cheque or cash.
The Gathering Basket

Eddie Starnater of Practical Primitive will be teaching this class on creating what he calls: "The Gathering Basket."
"Perfect for foraging, berry picking and gathering of all types, this beautiful woven basket is the one we use most often of all. Easy to sling over your shoulder and comfortable to carry, you can make this basket small enough for foraging a single salad or large enough to carry small quantities of firewood. Beautiful and durable, you will keep finding more uses for this amazingly practical basket.
Hands-On Herbalism
A advanced course in Herbal Plants and preparations focusing on field work and experiential learning. In this class we aim to further our relationship with the plants through experiences in the field, based upon previous knowledge and foundations built through theory.
Course Date: May 2010 (Monday evening 6-9pm, Tuesday & Wednesday 10am-5pm)
9-Step Flintknapping process
An Intro to Flintknapping
This weekend workshop takes students through the basics of creating tools and various objects using all natural stone and volcanic glasses.
Eddie Starnater of Practical Primitive is bringing his patented 9-step flintknapping process to southern Ontario! Eddie has decades of experience and has knapped with some of the best in the world! We're lucky to have him coming to share with us, sign up soon for this one, there's already a line!
Survival Skills Intensive
The Survival Skills Intensive will run August 13-15 from the Wabash Community Fieldhouse in Sorauren Avenue Park.
A $100.00 deposit is required at time of application. This includes a $50.00 non-refundable administration fee. If withdrawal from the course occurs on or before Aug 1, 2010, all amounts paid, other than the non-refundable $50.00 administration fee, will be refunded. The full deposit is not refundable after this date. The balance of fees are due and payable on the first day of the course. No refund of fees will be made under any circumstance after August 1, 2010.
Beauty Comes Naturally: Herbal Skin Care
Herbal skin care is offered Saturday, July 11th from 10am to 4pm at the Wabash community fieldhouse, in Sorauren Avenue Park, 50 Wabash Ave.
Make your own beauty care products! Environmentally friendly, totally natural Lip Balms, first aid ointments, spray perfume, cremes, and others!
Learn about plants that are good for the skin and first aid, and how to use them in your day to day life.
This class teaches participants to make their own natural facial and body products from local plants and herbs! No pharmaceuticals, no synthetic hormones, chemicals or other harmful and unknown ingredients. All natural, all local. Everyone will go home with products they have made and guidance on how to further herbal studies on their own.
There is a $10 materials fee for this class.
