Adventure Out is an advanced program, only open to returning participants. In some cases, new participants with equivalent experience may be accepted into the program*. The program focuses on honing participants’ bushcraft and awareness skills. The remote setting allows participants to dive deeper into skills than is possible in an urban context. With a permanent base camp, they can create structures and work on lasting projects throughout the year. With space to roam and play, they track animals, sustainably harvest plants, make fires, tan hides, and of course make tools.

The Ravens program is geared towards expanding the skills developed in previous programs with p.i.n.e. Ravens will explore together while learning advanced naturalist knowledge and developing our wilderness survival skills. Content may include:

  • Animal tracking
  • Fire by friction
  • Local hazards
  • Shelter building
  • Wild Edibles and medicinal plant identification
  • Sustainable plant harvesting
  • Sensory Awareness
  • Primitive tools such as bows, arrows, stone/bone tools and more
  • Hide Tanning and Sewing
  • Bird Language

*If you are a new participant, please inquire about applying to register by calling the office at 416-792-2772.
